Robert joined Taco Bell in 2007, invited by a manager who saw potential in him. “One of the managers here visited my previous restaurant and said, ‘Hey, come over. I think you’ll be a great fit,’” Robert recalls. That simple invite marked the start of a long, fulfilling career. “I liked how organized it was, and it felt like a relaxing and fun atmosphere,” he says.

Robert’s relationship with his customers is unique. Over the years, he’s built strong connections, greeting regulars by name and making them feel like part of the Taco Bell family. “I like being social with our guests. I like to serve people and see the smiles on their faces when we give them quality service,” Robert shares.
It’s not unusual for Robert to see the same customers multiple times a week. “We have guests that come every day,” he says. “One gentleman, Ray, has been coming since I started. He comes once or twice a day, seven days a week.” It’s this consistency and care that have made Robert a beloved figure at his location.

Robert has worked at the same store for 17 years, and he takes pride in the teamwork that makes his location run smoothly. “We’re a pretty in-sync group,” he says. “A lot of us have been here for years, and we know each other well. We help each other out, and that makes us a strong team.” This synergy is what helps the store function like a “well-oiled machine.”
Robert is quick to praise his coworkers for their hard work and sense of humor, which keeps the atmosphere light and enjoyable. “They’re fun to be around,” he says.
